SCIENCE

Science
before hype.

How VivoPep frames peptides, studies and scientific claims.

Research peptide ≠ medicine

The term “research peptide” describes a research context. It is not synonymous with regulatory approval or demonstrated therapeutic benefit.

In-vitro data

Cell and laboratory models can investigate mechanisms and generate hypotheses. They do not automatically show that an effect occurs in humans.

Animal data

Animal models can provide important preclinical information. A positive animal result is not proof of efficacy or safety in humans.

Human studies

Clinical studies provide the most direct evidence for questions involving humans. Study design, population, endpoints, controls and statistics matter.

What does “promising” mean?

“Promising” is not an evidence level. The word should be considered alongside study design, results, uncertainty and reproducibility.

Source verification

Primary studies and regulatory documents have a different evidentiary role from company copy, blogs or social-media posts when making factual claims.

Core principleIf the evidence is weak, it should be described as weak. Scientific uncertainty is information, not a flaw.
